Driver’s Education/Humanities Summer 2007

 

Who:             Any student whom has turned 15 and passed 8 classes in the

                     previous two semesters of school.  Preference will be given to

River Bend Students.  There must be a minimum of 10 students sign-up in order for us to teach the class. (Depending on the availability of teachers there may be a maximum number of students as well. If we have to limit students, enrollment will be based on age.)

 

Where:          Fulton High School

 

When:          Classroom: Thursday, May 31 – Wednesday, June 20 

                                         8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

 

                     Behind the Wheel:  Scheduled for all students

                                                     throughout the summer

 

Fee:              $175.00 ($150 for Driver’s Ed and $25 for Humanities)

 

All students will be required to take both Driver’s Education and Humanities.  One class will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the other from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m.  Students that do not attend both sessions everyday will not be given credit for either class.  The state of Illinois requires that students received 30 hours of classroom instruction for Driver’s Education; therefore, students are not allowed to miss any days during this time frame.

 

All students who receive passing grades in both classes will earn 0.25 credits for Humanities and 0.25 credits for the classroom portion of Driver’s Education.  Students that pass the behind the wheel portion of Driver’s Education will also earn 0.25 credits.
