Many family members enjoyed FES’s annual Open House on September 17th. The hallways and classrooms were filled with laughter and conversation as students work was viewed by all.

All FES Second Grades enjoyed visiting the reproduction of Christopher Columbus’ ship the Nina on Sept. 19th, as it was docked in Davenport, IA.

2nd Graders boarded the Nina and were surprised at the size of ship that Christopher Columbus and 26 crew members sailed on, and how small their living quarters were below deck. The story of Columbus’ adventure with pirates was also enjoyed.

FES students joined FES Principal Mrs. Dunlap, and Playground Chair Don McLuckie, for the official ribbon cutting of the new FES playground. We are enjoying playing on it every day!
