Policy
|
Each student is responsible
for the return of LRC materials
checked out in his/her
name. Students with
overdues
and/or fines may use LRC
materials while in the LRC with
a class, however, they may not
check out any materials until
they take care of fines over 1
dollar.
Students are
responsible for checking the
due dates on any materials they
have checked out. The due date
is stamped in the front of the
book. They can check with the
LRC staff for due dates, and any
possible
overdues/fines that
accrue on these items.
Materials may be renewed even if
the student does not have the
material with him.
If a student is
absent for an extended
amount of time that includes the
day on which their materials are
due back in the LRC, the
materials must be returned
within a week of their return to
school. There will be no fine
up until that time. If the
materials are not returned
within this time limit, a fine
will be charged from the day the
student returns to school. If
the item(s) is due before the
time the student is absent a
fine will be charged from the
stamped due date on the
materials until the item(s) is
returned. If you have any
questions on this policy see
Mrs. Heyvaert. She will use her
discretion in determining fines
for students absent because of
extended illness.
Lost or
damaged materials: If an
item is lost or damaged beyond
repair the student is
responsible for paying for the
item. If a
lost item is found and returned
to the LRC
in usable condition a refund for
the cost of the item will be
given to the student.
