SMART Board Teacher Grant Application

All teachers interested in having a SMART Board system set up in their classroom are strongly encouraged to complete this grant application.  Information is available at www.smarttech.com, www.edtech.org, or www.google.com search on the benefits and usage of this technology, as well as lots of lesson plans.  The software for the boards can be downloaded and installed on your personal computer at home. Teachers are encouraged to review this software at home or school.  Please ask the technology specialists in your building to download and install at school or for a CD of the software to install at home.

 

The philosophy and expectations we have for best use include:

*      The SMART Board being used 50 - 80% of the time.  Those that are not used at least 50% of the time may be removed from the classroom.

*      Students will have consistent access to the SMART Board and their input may be sought for future placement.

*      “SMART” teachers will be expected to attend training and mentor future “SMART” teachers on the usage of the boards.
