We offer many educational opportunities for our students. Students have the opportunity to take classes at Morrison Institute of Technology, Whiteside Area Career Center, Sauk Valley Community College, and Clinton Community College. A note from Principal Jeff Parsons

FHS Staff, Students and Families,

I hope you are enjoying your summer and able to recharge the batteries for a wonderful 2023-24 school year. I’m beyond excited to announce that, pending board approval Wednesday night, I will be the Principal at Fulton HS for the 2023-24 school year. Kathleen Schipper will be the Assistant Principal and I'm eager to learn from her vast educational knowledge. I will be leading the building as well as staying our Athletic Director. Kathleen will focus on Curriculum, Instruction and Attendance. Together we will make a great team and look forward to leading a wonderful school.

The River Bend District has been an incredible place for my wife Kelli and I to live this past year. Kelli is currently working as a behavior interventionist at FES. We have 2 children Michael (29), a probation officer in Eureka. Kristen (27), and her husband Jason live in Roseville with their 2 year old son Kamdyn. Kristen is employed by the Monmouth-Roseville School District and will work at the Junior HIgh School in Roseville this coming school year I started my educational career after graduating from Illinois State University in 1991. I have worked at Camp Point Central from 1991-1997, Northeast Nodaway in Ravenwood, Missouri from 1997-1999, Roseville High School from 1999-2003 and Wethersfield High School in Kewanee from 2003 to 2022 before coming to the River Bend District. I taught PE and Health and coached Basketball and Baseball for 30 years.

I’ve been an Athletic Director for over 20 years of my career. I look forward to impacting staff, students and our community as I start my 32nd year in education. If you can't find me in the FHS office, I'll be interacting with staff and students throughout the building or attending an event our students are participating in. I will make sure that doesn't not change from my first year. I am ready to continue building relationships within the River Bend Communities, this is a special place. I look forward to continuing a tradition of greatness by expanding upon a culture that will support all staff, students and community. I believe the River Bend Schools and Fulton High School are one of the best in the area and state wide.

I am excited to be working with Kathleen Schipper. Kathleen is beginning her 19th year working for the River Bend School District. She has served as several roles during her tenure - HS Principal, MS Principal, Curriculum Director and now HS Assistant Principal. Mrs. Schipper is excited to continue in this new role. Mrs. Schipper and her husband Lynn have been very involved in Steamer Nation. Their three sons, Kyle, Kraig and Kole all have graduated from Fulton High School. Mrs. Schipper welcomes any suggestions that you believe will help make FHS an even better school.
