Community Resources - Community Help

  • Whiteside County Resource Book - Tri-County's Agency Resource Book is filled with information to assist individuals with adult education, employment services, basic needs, child care services, dental health, disability services, emergency services, food pantries, legal services, mental health services, physical health, recreation services and other resources within our nine counties.

  • Area Therapists and Counselors  - This is a list of area Therapists and Counselors for students seeing support and help dealing with social and emotional issues.

  • Mental Health Conditions are all around us and among us. By knowing more about them, we can encourage each other to speak up and build better lives.

  • NAMI Family Support Groups provide a place where family members, friends and significant others caring for a loved one living with a mental health condition can find compassion, learn new ways to manage problems and access resources. The local NAMI meetings are in Sterling every 4th Tuesday of the month. These meetings are free and confidential.

  • Victim & Survivor Resources  - Victims of teen dating violence often keep the abuse a secret. They should be encouraged to reach out to trusted adults like parents, teachers, school counselors, youth advisors, or health care providers. They can also seek confidential counsel and advice from professionally trained adults and peers. This website contains a list of hotline numbers, prevention programs, and public awareness programs plus federal and  local resources and how to secure them.
