Weather Update: Returning from Winter Break
River Bend Families,
As we get ready to return from our break, mother nature is hoping to keep us out a little longer.
Early weather forecasting is calling for 6 to 10 inches of snow late Monday into early Wednesday. Because we are not prepared for a remote day, if school is impacted by the forecasted weather, school would be cancelled on Tuesday and a decision about Wednesday would be made on that day. If school was cancelled we would make the day up on Monday, February 19th.
I am out of the country visiting my daughter and will arrive late Monday. I will be monitoring the weather as best as possible and communicate with my administrative team and other area superintendents on a final decision to be made Monday evening or Tuesday morning.
I am also attaching a general weather/school cancellation letter that provides additional information about the decision to close school.
